Prometheus Cast Gains Guy Pearce

Guy Pearce Joins Prometheus Cast Alien Prequel Ridely Scott Noomi Rapace Idris Rafe Spall Michael FassbenderRidley Scott’s mysterious pipeline project Prometheus received another addition to its cast this week, when Guy Pearce’s involvement was confirmed (after much speculation). The English-born Australian joins Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Kate Dickie, Rafe Spall and Sean Harris on board Sir Ridley’s film.

The film itself has taken many forms in the minds and claims of cinema speculators and rumour merchants, but is likely to be a distant prequel to Scott’s 1979 film Alien. While at one time Scott declared that the iconic alien beings from his classic sci-fi chiller would not be appearing in Prometheus, it appears that they now be set to appear. The involvement of the ‘Space Jockey’ (a giant, fossilised creature that appeared in Alien) is now very likely, with insider information claiming that some sets have already been constructed.

Pearce’s inclusion has bolstered an already very solid cast, and sci-fi fans will surely be rubbing their hands at the prospect of Scott returning to the sci-fi roots that saw him helm the original and the classic Blade Runner.

How do you think Pearce will fit into a possible Alien prequel? In space no-one can hear your comments, so just post them below.
